HWID Checker

Privacy policy

Last updated: 2026-08-27

The short version: the online checker and Windows utility perform their core analysis locally. Values you paste into the browser checker are not uploaded.

Online checker

The browser fingerprint generator, format validator, parser and list comparison run in your browser. The site does not need an account or a server-side database of identifiers for those features.

The browser fingerprint uses permitted signals such as user agent, CPU core count, screen properties, time zone, GPU renderer and canvas output. It cannot read motherboard UUIDs, disk serials or MAC addresses.

Windows utility

The downloadable Windows tool reads identifiers exposed by Windows and device firmware, creates a composite SHA-256 HWID, and prints the result locally. It writes a report only when you use an export option. The tool does not upload its output.

Server logs

The hosting provider may retain ordinary request metadata for security, abuse prevention and availability, such as timestamps, requested paths, status codes and network information. These logs are separate from the locally generated browser fingerprint. We do not maintain a searchable HWID database through the checker.

Cookies and local preferences

The site does not use advertising cookies. It may store a strictly necessary preference, such as the selected language. Disabling that preference does not stop the core checker from running.

Hardware identifiers and personal data

A persistent device identifier can single out a device and may be personal data when it is linked to a person, account or activity. Share raw serial numbers and composite HWIDs only when necessary and only with a service you trust.

Third-party services

We do not sell hardware identifiers or browser fingerprints to advertisers or data brokers. External links, operating-system commands and downloaded files are subject to the policies of the services and platforms that provide them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to personal data held by a service. The local checker does not create a server-side record for you to access or delete. If you believe request logs or another service feature contains personal data associated with you, use the project contact channel below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the product or its data flows change. The date shown at the top of the page identifies the latest revision.
