HWID Checker

Terms of use

Last updated: 2026-08-26

1. Acceptance of terms

By using the HWID Checker website, JSON API or downloadable Windows utility (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service does

The Service can generate a browser fingerprint, validate or parse identifier formats, compare an identifier with a user-supplied list, display operating-system commands, and read local Windows hardware identifiers through the downloadable utility.

The HWID ban checker is an educational diagnostic. It cannot access a game publisher's private enforcement records and does not provide an official ban decision.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to evade bans, licences or access controls;
  • Collect hardware identifiers from another person without an appropriate legal basis and notice;
  • Submit secrets or identifiers to the JSON API when local validation would meet your needs;
  • Disrupt, overload or attempt unauthorized access to the website or API;
  • Use the Service in violation of applicable law or a third party's terms.

4. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Hardware identifiers can be missing, generic, duplicated, changed or spoofed. Browser fingerprints can drift as software and settings change. We do not guarantee that any output is unique, permanent or suitable for a particular licensing, security or enforcement decision.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HWID Checker is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the Service or decisions made from its output. Verify important results independently and consult the relevant vendor or publisher for authoritative account, licence or ban information.

6. Intellectual property and source licences

Website text, branding and interface assets are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Source code may be used under the licence included with the relevant repository or package. Those licences do not grant a right to impersonate HWID Checker or misrepresent another service as an official release.

7. Changes

We may revise these terms when the Service changes. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

8. Contact

For terms-related questions, open an issue in the project repository without posting a raw HWID, hardware serial number or other sensitive value.
